2007 DLOFDC Div. 4 World Champions:
The Legionnaires
We would like to congratulate all of our corps members on an outstanding season and a well-deserved first place finish. We appreciate all the time and effort they have put in, as well as the support of our volunteers and staff. So long to the age-outs, you have been an inspiration to us all. Once again, as a remarkable debut season comes to a close, congratulations to our very own Legionnaires on a 2007 World Championship.
Corps Director,
Jeff Gomez

Prelims
The Legionnaires have made it past preliminaries in first place with an outstanding score of 91.900. Things are looking bright for the future of this corps. Tonight is the semi-finals, and we are very confident in actually making it to finals. For the corps debut season, we are very excited to how well it is going. Finals is Saturday, and the Legionnaires are looking at an almost certain medal, and a good chance at a gold.

Corps Encore
Tomorrow night is Corps Encore hosted by Weber State University, and the Blue Knights of Denver, Colorado. We would like to think of this as our home show, although it isn't official. Once we get into Division 1 or 2 next year we can make this legit. Anyways, good luck to all those participating, fantasy and reality!

The Legionnaires are ecstatic about how well this season is turning out. We can only hope the corps doesn't plateau over the next couple of weeks. If we can continue to score like we have been, we have a great chance at medaling in finals.
*DLOFDC Southwestern Classic
We played our hearts out. This is a major turning point for The Legionnaires. We placed 2nd in the entire division with a score of 86.125. The night before we had even a better show, but 2nd place still isn't bad.

Gold!
The Legionnaires have struck gold for the first time this season! On July 22, 2007 we had a competition in Wilmot, WI. It was a small Div. 4 get together with only 4 corps. We had thought that a gold was reasonable because of the smaller amount of competition. Little did we know our gold would turn out to be the high score in Div. 4 and we are now in first place! That grand score was 87.050. Great job guys and good luck this next month... you're going to need it!

* Allentown DLO Eastern Classic, in which everyone competes. I don't care to comment on how we did in our division, but let's just say middle of the road.
** Atlanta DLO Southeastern Classic, in which everyone competes. This was truly a landmark of our season. Not only was it a two point jump in two days, but we broke the top three. We came in third, and have since moved into second place in Division 4 of DLOFDC.
We can only hope the momentum continues in our direction, and we can maintain a spot in the upper echelons for San Antonio and Indianapolis, which also happen to be DLO Classics, and eventually straight into the finals in Pasadena, California.

Our Corps Director, Jeff Gomez, has also included links to related personal sites, such as the groups he has marched in. We hope you enjoy this new addition and keep supporting The Legionnaires!

Stockton, CA
Congratulations Legionnaires on a second place finish at Stockton yesterday! We earned the silver medal with a score of 67.750! Keep up the good work!

Opening Night!
The Legionnaires placed 6th in their division on the 16th at the Pleasant Hill, CA competition with a score of 66.550. We realize this isn't the smashing start we were looking for, but are optimistic and the only way to go is up. It may be of interest to note that the Pleasant Hill competition had some of the highest scores of the night in our division, and had the Legionnaires competed at another location, we may have gotten as high as 3rd.

Division 4
Fortunately, and due to a critical early registration, The Legionnaires Drum and Bugle Corps has been placed in Division 4 of the DLODFC. The organization currently has 7 divisions, and most new corps are in the lowest possible division. On a first come, first serve basis, The Legionnaires have managed to secure a spot in Division 4 this season.
